Caretaker Minister of Public Works Ali Hamiye announced on his X account that “snow-clearing machines belonging to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport are working around the clock to clear mountain roads.”
He added, “The Ministry of Public Works and Transport renews its appeal to citizens using these roads to respect the instructions of the security forces, in order to guarantee their safety.”
In this context, civil defense elements succeeded, after efforts that lasted until the early hours of dawn, in clearing debris and rocks and removing several trees that were impeding traffic on the main road where the Nahrain, Kfarkhayem, Deir Dourit and Deir El Qamar rivers meet in the Chouf region, due to the intensity of the rainfall.
