Exchanges of fire continued Saturday between Israel and Hezbollah along Lebanon’s southern border, while the morning was marked by high tensions between the parties.

The Israeli army fired flares targeting the towns of Wadi Hamoul and Labbouneh, east of Naqoura, sparking fires under the overhead of reconnaissance planes. It also attacked a house on the northeastern outskirts of the town of Blida, without causing any casualties.

Israeli artillery shelled the areas of Hamoul and Roueissat. The regions of Kfarchouba and Kfarhamam were also targeted by Israeli artillery from inside the occupied territories. Warning sirens sounded in the Upper Galilee and at the UNIFIL center in Naqoura. Shells fell on the outskirts of Maroun al-Ras and Yaroun and three Israeli missiles targeted the outskirts of al-Qawzah.

For its part, Hezbollah announced that it had targeted Israeli artillery positions at the beginning of the afternoon at the site of Khirbet Mar, Roueissat al-Alam in the Shebaa farms and Jal al-Alam. The pro-Iranian party also targeted the al-Rahab site and its garrison. It announced the death of one of the fighters.

Furthermore, Hezbollah said that it targeted an Israeli military force while it was inside a house in the Doviv settlement. This attack, which caused direct casualties according to the pro-Iranian party, was launched in response to the Israeli bombing of a house in Houla on Thursday evening.
In addition, Israeli artillery launched phosphorus bombs on the outskirts of Naqoura and Alma al-Shaab. Israeli bombings also targeted the outskirts of the town of Naqoura and the mountains of Labouneh and al-Allam. Meanwhile, the Labbouneh region was hit with incendiary bombs.
