The exchange of artillery fire between Israel and Hezbollah on the southern front resumed on Thursday morning after a tense night, with Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flying over the western and central sectors and dropping flare bombs throughout the night.

The Israeli army bombed the area around the villages of Naqoura and Alma al-Shaab, as well as the heights of Labbouneh in the western sector. This forested mountain, which has been the target of continuous Israeli raids since the start of the conflict between Hezbollah and the Hebrew state on October 7, is now barren due to Israeli incendiary bombs.

Israeli forces also dropped phosphorus bombs on the hills of Chbat and Alwan in the Kfarchouba heights, as well as the village of Aytaroun. A bomb also targeted a house under construction at Tallet Ras el-Dahr in Mays al-Jabal.

Hezbollah announced that it had bombed the Israeli positions of Misgav, Bayad Blida, Mtalleh, al-Marj and al-Assi, as well as the Yiftah barracks. In retaliation, the Israeli army bombed the outskirts of Mays al-Jabal and Mouhaybib.

As the fighting in southern Lebanon intensified, many inhabitants of the villages of Tayr Harfa and Aita al-Shaab fled their homes to take refuge in Tyre and surrounding villages.

Moreover, the inhabitants of South Lebanon have been unable to harvest olives in the Tyre and Naqoura plains due to continuous Israeli attacks.
