The southern front ignited on Wednesday evening for the second night in a row. The Israeli army bombed the perimeters of the villages of Yarin, Jebbine, Tayr Harfa, Marwahin, and Dhayra, causing fires in the forests, while reconnaissance aircraft flew over the villages in the western sector.
For its part, the Israeli air force carried out raids in the regions located between Yater and Zebqine, as well as those located between Tayr Harfa and Jebbine, while the shells launched by the army reached the region of Hamamiss, the surroundings of Khiam, as well as Wadi Hounin and the agricultural fields of Wazzani.
Illuminating mortar shells were also launched over Khallit Hounin and Kfar Kila. An Israeli drone also launched a shell at Jabal al-Saddane, in the Hebbariye perimeter. Simultaneously, warning sirens sounded in the villages of Baram, Avivim, and Yir’on in the upper Galilee, with the Jewish state fearing drone infiltration from Lebanon. In this regard, the Israeli army asked residents of border villages to stay in shelters.
The afternoon was also marked by a resumption of exchanges of artillery fire between Lebanon and Israel. Phosphorus ammunition was launched in the region of Aita al-Shaab, while the localities of Mays al-Jabal and Blida were bombed. The Israeli army also launched illuminating mortar shells on the outskirts of Rachaya al-Fekhar, Al-Arqoub, the forests of Helta, the surroundings of Kfrarchouba, as well as a house in Hula. The latter village was the target of several shells, causing fires.
For its part, Hezbollah announced that it had fired on an Israeli infantry force near the Chomera base, injuring soldiers. He also declared having attacked an infantry force of the Israeli army near the Duviv barracks in response to the shooting on Sunday morning that targeted ambulances belonging to the Al-Rissala scouts (Amal Movement) in the village of Wadi al-Dabaa, west of Tayr Harfa, injuring four rescuers. According to a press release from the pro-Iranian group, injuries and deaths have been reported among Israelis.
A salvo of rockets was also fired toward Israel. They reached the regions of Bayader el-Adass and Ara south of Yaron, between the villages of Yaron and Rmeish.
Exchanges of artillery fire were also reported in the morning. An anti-tank missile was launched from Lebanon toward an Israeli vehicle in the western Galilee, as well as rocket fire toward the central regions. For its part, the Israeli air force carried out raids in the Khiam plain and in Marjayoun. The Israeli army also bombed the surroundings of Naqoura, as well as Labbouneh, Kfarchouba, Ramia, Beit Lif, and Aita al-Shaab. In addition, a shell hit a livestock fodder warehouse belonging to a person from Kfar Kila, while three others were launched at the oak forests located between the localities of Blida, Mazraat Helta, and Salamieh in the caza of Hasbaya.
