The General Assembly meeting of the Beirut Bar Association, scheduled to elect members of the Bar Council and the Bar President, has been rescheduled to November 19. This decision was made due to a lack of quorum. The elections will take place at 9 AM on November 19, regardless of the number of participants.

During the meeting, Nader Gaspard, the President of the Beirut Bar Association, addressed the lawyers and highlighted that imperfections are common during any election period. He added that “populist positions are not beneficial” and expressed his hope for the elections to proceed in a normal and democratic manner on November 19. He also wished for “the security situation to remain stable.”

Additionally, the election for the Tripoli Bar Association, initially planned for Sunday, has also been postponed to November 19 due to a lack of quorum.
