Exchanges of artillery fire between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon continued throughout Friday, while Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flew over villages in the western and central sectors.

In the afternoon, Hezbollah announced that it had targeted a group of Israeli soldiers stationed near Mitat, opposite the town of Rmeish, claiming to have caused casualties. The Israeli army announced that it had returned fire at the source of the bombardment. It also claimed to have bombed a missile launch pad in the Shebaa farms. An artillery piece in the heights of Mount Hermon was also targeted by a missile launched from Lebanon. In response, Israel bombed the Kfarchouba Heights.

Israeli bombardments also targeted Hezbollah anti-tank missiles ready for launch on the border with the Hebrew state, as well as villages near Blida, in the vicinity of the villages of Al-Bustan, Berket Richa, Rmeish and Shebaa.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli army shelled the valley between the villages of Teir Harfa and El-Jbin, the area around the villages of Naqoura and Alma al-Shaab, as well as the Salhani-Blat Jabal Bassil area in the western sector, the area around the village of Ramyah and the outskirts of Aita al-Shaab and Al-Qouzah. It also bombed a solar energy project in the village of Teir Harfa, which supplies power to a public water station. The cost of the project is estimated at $300,000.
