The United Kingdom warned its citizens on Wednesday evening about visiting Lebanon.  On its official website, it wrote, “you are advised against all travel to the whole of Lebanon. If you are currently in Lebanon, we encourage you to leave now while commercial options remain available.”

This announcement comes amid escalating tensions between Hezbollah and Israel in southern Lebanon.

To recall, the embassies of the United States, France, Canada and Saudi Arabia, among others, have also called on their citizens to comply with the same instructions, for fear of a possible regional extension of the conflict between Hamas and Israel.
