Caretaker Minister of Education Abbas Halabi revised on Sunday the previous decision to close schools in the southern Lebanese regions, limiting this measure only to schools located in villages directly adjacent to the southern border.
Classes will resume in the other schools in various districts, he noted in a statement.
Halabi also called on citizens to “follow the Ministry’s official statements on a daily basis,” in order to “save the start of the new school year.”
