The Media Department of the Lebanese Kataeb Party condemned the “savage Israeli shelling that targeted a group of Lebanese journalists on the southern border on Friday.”
In a released statement, the Kataeb party stated that the direct targeting of journalists constitutes a war crime and a breach of international laws.
“The media community are not parties to the conflicts. However, they fulfill a humanitarian and human rights mission guaranteed by all international laws and regulations,” the statement reads. “The Kataeb Media Department offers its deepest condolences to the families, friends, and the organization of our colleague Issam Abdullah and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.”
