A session of the Council of Ministers dedicated to discussing the volatile situation on the southern border with Israel and the devastating war in Gaza, in addition to the issue of displaced Syrians, started at the Grand Serail on Thursday in the presence of Army Commander General Joseph Aoun and the heads of other security apparatuses, including the Internal Security Forces, the General Directorate of General Security and the State Security.
Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati informed the ministers present that he has been in contact with foreign leaders to maintain calm in South Lebanon.
His speech will be broadcast on Tele Liban at the end of the Council of Ministers’ session.
