UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti told This Is Beirut that despite the calm that has prevailed along the border since Wednesday evening, the international peace force remains fully deployed along the Blue Line and is maintaining dialogue between the Lebanese and Israeli armies. Although the main objective is to maintain dialogue between the two parties, Tenenti made it clear that this is not part of UNIFIL’s mandate.
