The Minister of Education in the caretaker government, Abbas al-Halabi, delivered a compelling message to public school teachers, calling them to respond to their students’ needs by returning to their classrooms on the eve of the new academic year, which starts tomorrow.

In his address at the launching ceremony of the Board of Trustees for “Professor Munir Abu Asli Official Secondary School” in Zahle on Sunday, Halabi emphasized the importance of educators’ dedication and commitment during these challenging times. He said, “Enough is enough for what this sector has endured, and I urge you to resume work without interruption.”

Furthermore, Halabi reassured teachers that efforts were underway to support them despite the difficult circumstances. He announced, “We have managed to secure productivity incentives that will enable them to return to their workplace.”

Halabi also stressed that the responsibility for official education extended beyond the Ministry of Education and the government, calling on all sectors of society to contribute to its success.
