On Monday, Ashrafieh residents voiced their frustration at a water shortage that has lasted for over a month. This situation led to considerable expenses linked to the purchase of water, given the difficult living conditions faced by the residents.

The inhabitants of Ashrafieh therefore renewed their appeal to the Dbayeh Water Board to intervene by pumping water. The situation was already critical, but it worsened two weeks ago, when the water supply was completely cut off. As a result, these residents were forced to buy water, with the cost of the tank amounting to $40.

Unfortunately, many requests to the relevant authorities have gone unanswered. The reasons put forward to explain this situation are varied, ranging from power cuts to shortages of the fuel needed to run generators, insufficient water supplies during the summer, and frequent malfunctions in treatment plants and pipes.
