Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bukhari reiterated “KSA’s support for Lebanon and its constant commitment to stability in its brotherly country,” expressing the wish for “a consensus of Lebanese political forces to elect a president of the Republic and begin the process of recovery,” during his meeting on Saturday with the president of the “All for Beirut” association, former Minister Mohammad Choucair.

Choucair, for his part, informed the monarchy’s diplomat of the launch of his association, its ideas, and the national objectives it aims to achieve, based on the State, legitimacy, sovereignty in all its dimensions, the Taif Agreement, coexistence and parity, as well as on the normalization of relations with the Gulf countries, in particular Saudi Arabia, while respecting the sovereignty of brotherly countries and strong fraternal ties.

He also emphasized “the pioneering role played by the Saudi ambassador in helping Lebanon, particularly about the election of the President of the Republic, the protection of Lebanon, and the preservation of its identity,” stressing “Saudi Arabia’s essential role in putting an end to the crisis and restoring Lebanon’s prosperity, based on Saudi Arabia’s fraternal ties and sincere love for our country and its historical heritage, as well as its deep concern for the interests of Lebanon and its people.”
