As a result of the many conflicts that have erupted on Lebanese territory, the country is, from North to South, polluted by mines and other explosive devices. It is estimated that 31 million square meters of land, which the Army is prioritizing, are affected. This situation poses a security challenge but also a socioeconomic one, as hundreds of citizens find themselves unable to use their land. To remedy the situation, the Lebanese Mine Action Center, which depends on the Army, is working with several international organizations to clear landmines all throughout the country.
