After six hours of interrogation, the four young individuals from Kahaleh summoned by the military intelligence services were released on bail on Tuesday. They were questioned for their involvement in the shootout that occurred on August 9 in Kahaleh, after a Hezbollah truck loaded with ammunition tipped over while taking a turn. A local resident, Fadi Bejjani, and the truck driver, Ahmad Ali Kassas, were killed.

The four young individuals from Kahaleh were accompanied by their lawyers representing the Lebanese Forces, the Free Patriotic Movement, the Kataeb Party, and the municipality of the locality.

The questioning comes after a meeting that a delegation from Kahaleh had with the Chief of the Army, General Joseph Aoun, after which the municipal council had agreed that the four young individuals, who had been summoned last Thursday, would be heard as witnesses.

Four Hezbollah members who were in the convoy accompanying the truck had already been questioned.
