The Lebanese-French Coordinating Committee (LFCC) submitted a letter to Jean-Yves le Drian, French President Emmanuel Macron’s personal representative to Lebanon, calling for “France to play a role in helping the Lebanese people press for Constitution implementation, sovereignty restoration and state citizenship establishment.”

The Committee expressed its vision  based on the following principles: respect and implementation of the Constitution, modernization of institutions, equality of all Lebanese people before the Law, secularism, neutrality in the face of regional conflicts, independence of the judiciary, extended decentralization in accordance with the terms of the Taif agreement, pursuing investigations particularly regarding the Beirut port explosion, managing the crisis of two million Syrian refugees, which is destabilizing demographics and undermining the country’s infrastructure and economy.

The LFCC acknowledged France’s efforts and underlined the Franco-Lebanese partnership and its importance in saving Lebanon.

The LFCC brings together seven organizations in France: Change Lebanon (CL), Collectif Libanais de France (CLF), Diaspora Libanaise Overseas (DLO), Forum Libanais en Europe (FLE), Mouvement des Citoyens Libanais du Monde (MCLM), Our New Lebanon – France (ONL – France), The Lebanese Diaspora Network (TLDN – France), as well as the Civic Influence Hub (CIH) as the Lebanese advisory organization to the Committee.

On August 4, 2023, it organized a ceremony in Paris to commemorate the third anniversary of the devastating Beirut port explosion.
