Residents of Tripoli are in for a surprise. On Wednesday morning, a newborn baby girl was found alive in a garbage bag thrown into a dumpster near the city’s municipal headquarters.
The inhumanity of this newborn baby girl’s parents has been contrasted with the behavior of a stray female dog, mother of eight puppies, who sniffed out the baby’s pulse, wrapped as she was in a black garbage bag. People have deemed the animal “more human than men.”
Dragging the bag through the street, trying to alert passers-by, the dog managed to get a man to hear the child’s groans, prompting him to open the bag and discover the little girl, only a few days old.
The child was taken to the Islamic Hospital and then to the Tripoli government hospital for treatment of her numerous injuries.
