Lebanon’s beaches have long been a haven for locals and tourists alike. However, water quality has become an increasingly pressing issue. The National Council for Scientific Research conducted thorough tests on the quality of Lebanese seawater and discovered that twenty-two sites are considered clean, while nine beaches are “extremely polluted” or even “dangerous” for bathing.
