Two candidates will compete on Wednesday, during the twelfth session devoted to the election of a President of the Republic: Jihad Azour, senior official at the International Monetary Fund and former Minister of Finance, and Sleiman Frangieh, leader of the Marada and former MP and minister.

This session, which is the first one in five months, comes after seven months of presidential vacancy.
