After extensive surveillance and investigation into drug and arms trafficking rings by the State Security apparatus in West Bekaa, a gang formed of both Lebanese and Syrian nationals active in the areas of Khyara, Hawsh al-Harima, Al-Marj, and Bar Elias was captured.

After several simultaneous raids on the gang members’ hideouts, the five suspects were arrested, including four Syrians (N.N., A.Kh., M.Ch., M.Kh.) and one Lebanese (A.S.).

Around 40,000 Captagon pills were seized along with military-grade arms and offensive grenades which were stashed in a pool on the outskirts of Al-Marj according to the NNA.

All five gang members were apprehended and kept at the State Security bureau in Saghbine, where they are being interrogated.
