The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) concluded its four-year-long Community Support Program (CPS) in a closing event on Wednesday, May 17.

Over the course of this program, the agency invested a total of $7.3 million since 2019 with the aim of enhancing both skills and job opportunities for some 1,087 individuals within the disadvantaged communities in Lebanon.

Prominent figures in attendance at the event included USAID Lebanon Mission Director Mary Eileen Devitt, as well as several other donors and Lebanese officials.

“We have dedicated years to training students and young entrepreneurs in Lebanon. We always strive to provide the Lebanese youth with the right opportunities,” Devitt said.

The event featured testimonies from several young beneficiaries who shared their experiences, alongside a panel where participants made recommendations to further accelerate the progress of these programs.
