Caretaker Minister of Interior and Municipalities Bassam Mawlawi launched on Monday a call for tenders to reactivate the management, maintenance and operation of mechanical inspection centers, emphasizing that this call is open to small and medium-sized enterprises.
Mawlawi clarified that the National Traffic Management Authority would be self-financed and that the Ministry of Interior would publish the call for tenders on the Public Procurement Authority’s website within three months. Mawlawi further stated that “the new tender specifications have been transparently established and reviewed by the Public Procurement Authority.” He assured that “the rights of employees from the former company will be preserved.”
Additionally, the Caretaker Minister of Interior and Municipalities announced that he was working on specifications for a new call for tenders aimed at reactivating parking meters in Beirut.
