Syrian Observatory for Human Rights sources report that pro-Iranian groups, of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, have evacuated their positions in the Sayyida Zainab area south of Damascus, as well as in the southwest of the city and in Quneitra.
Lebanese Hezbollah-affiliated groups have taken similar steps in the Western Qalamoun region on the outskirts of Damascus, in anticipation of potential Israeli air strikes in Syria in the near future, as a response to the Majdal Shams massacre.
