A spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, announced on his X (formerly Twitter) account that they are “now launching an attack on Hamas and terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip.”
He said that their goal is victory “no matter how long the fighting lasts, and regardless of its difficulty, there is no outcome other than victory.”
“We will fight in the alleys, the tunnels, and wherever necessary. We will eliminate the heinous enemy,” Adraee added.
He then pointed out that the residents of Be’er Sheva, Sderot, Nir Oz, Kfar Azza, and the towns of the western Negev, along with the Israeli people, are all “with us” and that “everyone is watching us now.” He also sent a message to the “generation of victory” to go fulfill their tasks.
Adraee also posted a video with a caption that says, “The attack order issued by the commander of the southern region of the ground forces operating in the Gaza Strip.”
