Bassma & Chaos Art Gallery recently announced the inaugural reception of the collective exhibition Rassma la Bassma. The event will commence on Tuesday, April 23, from 5 PM to 9 PM, and will continue until Tuesday, May 7. Located at 14 Sursock Street, the exhibition will be hosted at Chaos Art Gallery.
Rassma la Bassma represents a philanthropic initiative, bringing together over thirty distinguished Lebanese and international artists, including ceramists, painters and sculptors. The exhibition’s name, meaning “Draw a Smile” in Arabic, echoes the noble mission of the Bassma Association to bring joy to the lives of those less fortunate.
The exhibition will feature an eclectic mix of artworks by several accomplished artists. Among them are Al Furati Jomaa, Aliya Saidi, Amine Sayegh, Andrea Nassar, Avoly, Bassam Kyrillos, Charbel Lahoud, Dalia Dakhlallah, Dana Halwani, Edouard Souhaid, Eric Alfaro, Fabienne Fakhoury Kassis, Federico Pinto Schmid, Fredy Villamil, George Madi, Haifa Khodr Husni Bey, Hoda Baalbaki, Imad Saliba, Jacqueline Ohanian, Jad El Khoury, Janet Hagopian, Joyce Samaha, Leila Sbaiti, Missak Terzian, Najla Hobeiche, Nayfeh Nassar, Nayla Sirgi, Nicole Sarkis, Nina Salem Shabb, Obinna Makata, Oussamah Ghandour, Raouf Rifai and Vivian Van Blerk. These artists, hailing from various generations, utilize a vast array of media in their creations.
Rassma la Bassma will be accessible to the public daily from 11 AM to 7:30 PM, except on Sundays. A portion of the proceeds from this exhibition will be directed towards supporting the charitable activities of the Bassma Association, furthering their mission to make a significant impact on the community.
