Chaos Art Gallery is thrilled to present The YoYo’s World, a captivating solo exhibition by Lebanese artist Dalia Dakhlallah, showcasing her personal perspective on family bonds and joyful moments through a vibrant and dreamlike artistic lens.
Dalia Dakhlallah, a Lebanese artist based between Beirut and Dubai, found her calling in the world of art from a very young age. During the challenging times of the COVID pandemic, Dalia turned to art as her sole escape from the boredom and solitude that many experienced. It was during this period that she discovered her affinity for graffiti and street art, which she masterfully incorporates into her paintings.
In her first solo exhibition, The YoYo’s World, Dalia Dakhlallah invites viewers to explore the emotional connections and the sense of unity amongst family members through a naive, fun and dreamlike perspective. Her artworks serve as a reminder of the importance of nurturing and cherishing family bonds, which can be strengthened through open communication, quality time spent together, mutual care and appreciation.
Dalia’s canvases come alive with a symphony of creativity, color and chaos, as she fearlessly applies paint and spray to create her unique compositions. Chaos Art Gallery, founded by art collector Charbel Lahoud, is the venue for this uplifting exhibition. Located in the heart of Beirut’s art district, the gallery is a creative and contemporary space that serves as a hub for collecting art and engaging with the local community. The gallery’s mission is to promote and advance Lebanese artists, both locally and internationally, by providing a platform for cooperation, creation and exposure.
Dalia Dakhlallah’s journey with Chaos Art Gallery began in 2024, and The YoYo’s World marks an important milestone in her artistic career. The exhibition is a culmination of her experiences, emotions and artistic growth, and it promises to be a memorable and impactful event for art enthusiasts and casual viewers alike.
The YoYo’s World will run from March 19 to March 29, with an opening reception on Tuesday, March 19 from 8 to 10 PM. The gallery will be open daily from 11AM to 7:30 PM, except on Sundays, providing ample opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in Dalia’s thought-provoking artworks.
