Bahrain Dismantles IRGC-Linked Cell

Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior announced Saturday that security authorities have dismantled an organization allegedly linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), arresting 41 individuals accused of involvement in activities threatening the Kingdom’s national security.

In an official statement, the ministry said the group operated under the ideology of “Velayat-e Faqih” and was engaged in organized clandestine activities aimed at undermining stability and public order in Bahrain.

Authorities stated that the operation followed extensive investigations and intelligence-gathering efforts conducted in coordination with the Public Prosecution. The investigations reportedly focused on cases involving espionage, foreign interference, and expressions of support for what the ministry described as Iranian aggression against Bahrain.

Arrests and Ongoing Investigations

According to the ministry, security forces have detained 41 suspects identified as key members of the organization. Legal procedures are currently being completed ahead of their referral to prosecution authorities.

The ministry added that specialized security units are continuing search and investigative operations to identify additional individuals connected to the network or accused of providing logistical or ideological support to its activities.

Government Reaffirms Security Measures

Bahraini officials stressed that the Kingdom would continue taking decisive action against any threats to national security and social stability.

The Ministry of Interior said authorities remain committed to monitoring organizations and individuals suspected of links or sympathies with the IRGC, warning that anyone found involved in activities that threaten the state will face legal consequences.

“The security of the nation is a red line,” the statement said, emphasizing that Bahrain would not tolerate actions viewed as endangering the country’s sovereignty or internal security.

The announcement comes amid ongoing regional tensions and longstanding accusations by Bahraini authorities regarding Iranian interference in the Kingdom’s internal affairs.
