Hezbollah claimed responsibility for multiple attacks against Israeli settlements and military positions, while Israeli forces have responded with airstrikes and artillery targeting southern Lebanon on Friday, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.

The militant group reportedly targeted Israeli settlements including Kiryat Shmona, Yiftah, Meron, Avivim, and Shlomi, as well as military positions in Tefen, Tybeh, and Kfar Jalaadi. Hezbollah also struck military vehicles, including a Merkava tank, and several troop gatherings in areas such as Alma al-Shaab, Al-Dahireh, Ayta al-Shaab, and Markaba.

In southern Lebanese villages, including Kfartabnit, Al-Qulaylah, Zawtar Sharqiya, Bni Hayyan, and Marjeyoun, both Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire were reported. The attacks have caused casualties, with at least two civilians killed in an airstrike on Bafilleh and others injured in southern villages.

According to Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health, the total number of deaths from March 2 to March 20 has reached 1,021, with 2,641 injured amid ongoing hostilities.

Residents of southern Lebanon, particularly villages south of the Zahrani River, received a warning on Friday from the Israeli Defense Forces to evacuate due to ongoing Israeli military operations, with some reporting calls from foreign numbers urging them to leave their homes.

The escalation occurs amid a broader regional war triggered by retaliatory attacks Hezbollah, Tehran’s proxy, on Israel.
