Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed Sunday to intensify air strikes on Tehran in the coming days, declaring that Israel’s military is deploying its “full strength as never before” in the escalating campaign against Iran.
In a video statement released after renewed Israeli strikes on the Iranian capital, Netanyahu said he had issued instructions for the continuation and expansion of the operation.
“Our forces are now striking at the heart of Tehran with intense power, and this will only escalate in the days ahead,” he said. “We are engaged in a campaign in which the IDF is deploying its full strength as never before to ensure our existence and our future.”
Campaign to “Guarantee Our Future”
Netanyahu framed the military campaign as existential, stating that the objective of operations against Iran is to “guarantee our existence and our future.”
He also emphasized coordination with Washington, saying that the combined efforts with the United States create conditions for delivering what he described as a decisive blow to the “terrorist regime in Iran.”
The remarks come as Israeli forces continue what military officials describe as large-scale strikes targeting strategic sites in Tehran and other Iranian locations.
Deadliest Strike Inside Israel Since War Began
Netanyahu’s address followed one of the deadliest Iranian missile strikes inside Israel since the war began.
Emergency services confirmed that at least nine people were killed in Beit Shemesh after a missile struck a residential area, causing multiple building collapses. Dozens were injured, and search-and-rescue teams remain active at the site.
“These are painful days,” Netanyahu said. “Yesterday, here in Tel Aviv, and now in Beit Shemesh, we lost dear people. My heart goes out to the families.”
He extended condolences to the victims’ families and wished a full recovery to those injured, acknowledging that Israel is living through what he called “difficult days.”
Escalation on Both Fronts
The prime minister’s statement signals that Israel is preparing for sustained operations rather than a limited exchange.
Iran has continued launching missile barrages toward Israeli territory, while Israeli forces have expanded strikes deep inside Tehran, marking one of the most direct confrontations between the two countries.
