The Israeli military announced on Sunday that it had destroyed approximately half of Iran’s missile stockpiles, asserting that Tehran had been producing dozens of surface-to-surface missiles each month prior to the operation.

In a televised statement, military spokesman Brigadier General Effie Defrin said the campaign targeted the Iranian regime’s missile capabilities. “During the operation, we destroyed approximately half of the Iranian regime's missile stockpiles and prevented the production of at least 1,500 additional missiles,” he stated.

Defrin added that Iran had recently been manufacturing dozens of surface-to-surface missiles monthly and had plans to scale up production to hundreds per month.
