IDF Releases List of Senior Iranian Officials Killed in Joint U.S.-Israeli Strikes

The IDF published a list of Iranian officials killed in Saturday’s joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran.

“Hundreds of Israeli Air Force fighter jets, directed by precise IDF intelligence, struck hundreds of military targets belonging to the Iranian terror regime across Iran,” the release stated.

The army listed the following security and defense officials as “eliminated.” Secretary of the Iranian Security Council Ali Shamkhani, who was involved in decision making within the Iranian security apparatus and served as a personal advisor to Khamenei. IRGC Commander Mohammad Pakpour is also said to have been killed.

In Iran’s strategic planning apparatus, the IDF announced that the Head of the Khatam al-Anbiya Command Intelligence Directorate Saleh Asadi is dead, and said to have played a significant role in Iran’s strategy towards the United States and Israel, according to the release.

Head of the Military Bureau of the Supreme Leader Mohammad Shirazi was also targeted for his role in liaising between commanders and Iranian regime leadership. Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh was killed and Israeli army officials state that he was responsible for Iran’s military industries, including the production of ballistic missiles, weapons provisions to proxies, and Iran’s research and development programs. 

The list also reveals that officials connected to the SPND (the Iranian Defense Research and Innovation) Organization were struck, having an active role in Iran’s nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons programs. The officials identified to have been “eliminated” are SPND Organization Chairman Hossein Jabal Amelian, and Former SPND Chairman Reza Mozaffari-Nia.

“The IDF will continue to operate against all those who attempt to harm the security of the State of Israel,” the report warned.
