Israel struck a vehicle in the southern town of Yanouh, in the district of Tyre on Monday. Shortly after the strike, the Israeli army’s Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, said the operation targeted a Hezbollah member in southern Lebanon.
Lebanon’s state-run news agency (National News Agency) said the raid resulted in the death of three people, including a child.
He added: “During the war, the militant carried out numerous rocket-launching operations against Israeli army forces and the State of Israel. Recently, he was working on rebuilding Hezbollah’s artillery system from within Lebanese civilian residential areas.”
“Hezbollah’s activities constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon, and the Israeli army will continue its actions aimed at removing any threat to the State of Israel,” Adraee concluded.
