An Israeli air raid targeted a vehicle on the road between Majdal and Jwaya in southern Lebanon on Wednesday afternoon, according to a statement by the Israeli army’s Arabic spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, who said the strike was aimed at a “Hezbollah terrorist.”
The Ministry of Health reported that one person was killed and another injured.
The strike came amid heightened aerial activity across several regions. Residents reported intensive low-altitude drone flights over the city of Tyre and surrounding villages, as well as over Beirut and its southern suburbs.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli warplanes were seen flying over the Jezzine area and carrying out mock raids at medium altitude over Nabatieh and the Iqlim al-Tuffah region. Additional drone activity was reported over towns in the Nabatieh area, alongside medium-altitude flights over Lebanon’s eastern and western mountain ranges, with aircraft circling the plains between the two ranges.
In a separate incident on Wednesday, Israeli forces reportedly detonated a three-story building in the Bab al-Thaniya area, west of the southern city of Khiam.
