The Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, issued a warning Thursday to residents of the southern Lebanese towns of Jbaa and Mahrouna, urging them to evacuate areas he said are being used by Hezbollah.

In a post on X, Adraee announced that the Israeli military would soon target what he described as “Hezbollah military infrastructure” in the vicinity, accusing the group of attempting to rebuild its presence there. He called on residents living in buildings marked in red on published maps, and in adjacent structures, to leave immediately and move at least 300 meters away.

“You are located near buildings used by Hezbollah, and for your own safety, you must evacuate them immediately,” he wrote, cautioning that “remaining in the designated area puts you at risk.”

Earlier on Thursday, an Israeli patrol dropped a sound bomb in the town of al-Odaysse as workers from the Lebanese Electricity Corporation were passing through the area, heightening tensions along the southern border.
