
An Israeli drone strike on a car in the town of Kherbet Selm, located in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon, resulted in the death of one person on Friday.
In parallel, the National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli soldiers opened fire toward a group of residents harvesting olives in the al-Anq area of the nearby town of Aitaroun, also in Bint Jbeil district. The farmers were under the protection of a joint Lebanese Army–UNIFIL patrol at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
Earlier on Friday, an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb over the Qatmah al-Zaytoun area in the town of Blida, in the Marjayoun district, causing no casualties. Meanwhile, Israeli drones were observed flying at low altitude over the city of Sour (Tyre) and several surrounding villages and towns.
In a broader escalation, Israeli reconnaissance aircraft conducted intensive overflights across Lebanon’s eastern and western mountain ranges and the central Beqaa Valley, reaching as far north as Baalbeck, Maqneh and Yunin in the northern Beqaa region.
At dawn, Israeli forces advanced toward the al-Sultana area, near the southeastern outskirts of Yaroun in the Bint Jbeil district, where they destroyed an unfinished building, according to field reports.
