The management of the Port of Beirut announced on Monday a significant achievement in collaboration with the CMA Beirut Terminal container station, which has obtained certification of compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
The accreditation was granted after the terminal successfully met all required standards and received official approvals from the relevant authorities.
Port officials described the milestone as a testament to the joint commitment of both parties to upholding the highest international standards of maritime and port security. They noted that this recognition strengthens the Port of Beirut’s position as a strategic, reliable, and efficient logistics hub in the region.
The management added that the certification represents a key step in the port’s ongoing development, enhancing both its security and operational performance in line with global requirements for maritime transport safety and sustainability.
