Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference addressing multiple aspects of the ongoing conflict in Gaza and related regional issues. The Israeli Prime Minister asserted that Palestinians do not seek to establish a state but aim to destroy Israel, noting that multiple offers for statehood were rejected by Palestinian leaders.

He accused Hamas of creating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, including problems at aid distribution points and the ongoing famine, which he said must be resolved.

Regarding the military campaign, Netanyahu described the operation to take control of Gaza City as "very quick" and emphasized that the Israeli cabinet has tasked the army with securing the central area. He stressed that Israel’s goals include disarming Hamas, securing the release of hostages, and ultimately liberating Gaza from Hamas, not occupying it.

Netanyahu also condemned misinformation and global criticism against Israel, accusing media outlets like the New York Times of spreading lies. He highlighted the significant propaganda challenges Israel faces and thanked international supporters, including the Trump administration, for their backing on Gaza and Iran.

On aid, Netanyahu said humanitarian assistance will not be allowed to reach Hamas but pledged to open safe corridors in Gaza to distribute aid to civilians. He criticized the UN for refusing to distribute aid trucks Israel brought in through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

Addressing regional tensions, Netanyahu acknowledged Israel’s role in Lebanon and its cooperation with the Lebanese government to disarm Hezbollah. He also warned against neo-Nazi resurgence in Germany and declared Israel’s determination to win the ongoing conflict with or without external support.

Finally, Netanyahu emphasized that while the war in Gaza has lasted longer than desired, Israel does not seek a war of attrition but aims to end the conflict swiftly, prioritizing the safe release of hostages held by Hamas.
