Prime Minister Nawaf Salam arrived in Doha on Monday night, leading a ministerial delegation on an official visit to Qatar. The delegation includes Energy Minister Joe Saddi, Public Works and Transport Minister Fayez Rasamny, Administrative Development Minister Fadi Makki, and Culture Minister Ghassan Salame.
During his stay, Prime Minister Salam is scheduled to hold talks with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, as well as the country’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani. The discussions will focus on ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation across key sectors of mutual interest.
Upon arrival at Hamad International Airport, Salam and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Qatar’s Minister of Transport, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani.
The visit comes amid growing efforts by both Beirut and Doha to deepen diplomatic and economic ties, with Lebanon looking to attract support for its struggling economy and infrastructure projects. Qatar has played an active role in recent years in supporting Lebanon politically and economically.
Salam’s talks are expected to address energy cooperation, development initiatives, and potential Qatari investments in Lebanon, as well as cultural and administrative exchanges.
