Israeli airstrikes on Tehran have escalated dramatically, as Israeli and Iranian media report multiple waves of intense attacks, resulting in widespread destruction and casualties.

Air raid sirens sounded in Jerusalem later on the same day, signaling an incoming missile threat amid rapidly escalating hostilities between Iran and Israel. The alarms caused panic among residents, prompting them to seek immediate shelter.

According to Israeli broadcasts, a large-scale assault targeted numerous locations across Tehran, with reports indicating that dozens of key sites, including buildings and weapons belonging to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, were struck simultaneously. Channel 12 Israel confirmed that the Israeli Air Force launched the massive wave of airstrikes, focusing on critical infrastructure.

According to Iranian state media, a large barrage of ballistic missiles was launched from multiple locations across Iran toward Israeli territory. The move marks a significant escalation in the conflict and suggests a coordinated military response from Tehran.

An Al-Hadath correspondent reported that Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system successfully intercepted several of the incoming Iranian missiles.

Meanwhile, air raid sirens also blared in Tel Aviv, further underscoring the wide scope of the threat. Residents in the city were urged to stay near shelters as emergency procedures were activated.

The Israeli army confirmed that Iranian missiles had been detected heading toward Israeli territory.

Iranian media outlets have confirmed a devastating toll from the attacks, stating that successive Israeli strikes have caused a significant number of deaths and injuries.

Violent explosions rocked the headquarters and residential areas of the Iranian Air Force on Piroozi Street, a heavily populated district of the city. Further damage was reported on Vali Asr Street, one of Tehran’s most important streets, where both civilians and military installations were targeted.

Footage circulating online purportedly shows the aftermath of an Israeli raid on Keshavarz Street, further confirming the extent of the destruction. Local sources suggest that the airstrikes were aimed at weakening Iran’s military capabilities, particularly targeting facilities related to the Revolutionary Guard.

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian urged Iraq to block Israel from using its airspace and territory to launch attacks on the Islamic republic.

"We emphasize that the Iraqi government must exercise greater vigilance and protection of its borders and airspace so that Iraqi territory is not misused against the Islamic Republic of Iran," said Pezeshkian in a call with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, according to the Iranian presidency website.
