The Minister of Labor, Mohammad Haidar, issued a directive as part of the regulation of craft unions and professional unions (both workers and employers) and their licensed federations across Lebanon.
The directive requested that “all craft unions, professional unions (workers and employers) and their licensed federations, in accordance with the legal procedures in Lebanon, should: conduct their elections, correct their legal status and submit all documents related to the validity of their legal procedures to the Department of Professional Relations and Unions at the Ministry of Labor within a maximum period of three months.”
