The Lebanese Army (LAF) arrested two individuals on Thursday in connection with recent rocket launches from southern Lebanon into Israeli territory. A Lebanese national was detained in the Tarik Jdide area, while a Palestinian suspect was apprehended in the southern city of Saida.
These arrests come a day after the army announced it had identified a group of perpetrators—comprising both Lebanese and Palestinian nationals—responsible for two separate rocket attacks launched from southern Lebanon on March 22 and March 28, 2025. The first attack originated from the area between the towns of Kfar Tebnit and Arnoun in the Nabatieh district, while the second was launched from the Qaaqaait al-Jisr area, also located in Nabatieh.
Following coordinated investigations by the Army Intelligence Directorate, Military Police, Internal Security Forces and General Security, several members of the group were arrested and equipment used in the attacks was seized.
