Israeli forces stepped up their airstrikes on several localities in southern Lebanon. The targeted regions include the area between Qlayleh and al-Sama'iyah in the district of Tyre, as well as the axis linking Deir Qanun al-Nahr and Maarub. Strikes also hit the vicinity of Shahur and Ansar, as well as the area between Hallousiyeh and Zarariya.
In addition, Wadi al-Izziya, on the outskirts of Zebqine, and the outskirts of Jannata were the target of intense bombardments.
An Israeli raid also targeted Brissa in the Hermel mountains.
These strikes come at a time when Israeli drones have been flying over Beirut and its suburbs, heightening concern among residents.
Israeli Justification
The Israeli army's Arabic-speaking spokesman, Avichay Adraee, said on the platform X that Israeli forces had carried out “a precision strike on a military site that contained rockets and weapons inside Lebanon, where Hezbollah activities were detected.” He added that “several Hezbollah rocket launchers were also attacked in southern Lebanon,” as they were presenting an “imminent threat.”
