Head of the Lebanese Forces Party Samir Geagea accused Hezbollah of committing “a great crime” against the Lebanese, affirming that “the unity of squares theory is meaningless and doesn’t exist on the ground.”

After an extraordinary meeting in Maarab on Friday, he confirmed that “Hezbollah drove Lebanon to war when the majority of the Lebanese were against it.”

He also revealed that a number of foreign ministers visited Lebanon a year ago, up until last September, to convince Hezbollah to cease fire and implement United Nations Resolution 1701, “but Hezbollah stuck to their position and insisted on continuing what they were doing.”

“What was the result?” Geagea wondered, indicating that the country was ruined, and that “in the end, it was agreed to implement Resolution 1701.”

“Four thousand Lebanese were killed and many were displaced and despite all that, Hezbollah MPs still talk about victory, following a strange logic that has nothing to do with reality,” he concluded.
