In an English language video directed at the Iranian people, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Tuesday that a third Iranian attack on Israel "would simply cripple Iran's economy."

“It would rob you of many more billions of dollars,” he said, after claiming that the ballistic missile attack directed at Israel in October cost Tehran $2.3 billion.

The statement could also be seen as a warning that if Iran launches another attack, Israel will aim to inflict severe economic damage on Iran.

In response to Israel's airstrike last month on Iranian air defense systems and military sites safeguarding vital energy infrastructure, Iran has threatened further strikes on Israel.

Netanyahu claimed that the October attack “did marginal damage to Israel.”

“But what damage did [it] do to you?” he asked. “That sum could have added billions to your transportation budget. It could have added billions to your education budget.”

Netanyahu asserts that the lives of Iranians would improve if the regime invested in education, infrastructure, and healthcare, rather than spending on wars with Israel.‎‏‏

“I know that you don’t want this war,” said Netanyahu. “I don’t want this war either. The people of Israel don’t want this war. There is one force putting your family in grave danger: the tyrants of Tehran. That’s it.”

The Israeli Prime Minister stated that as the Iranian regime weakens, Israel grows stronger, adding, "The world has seen only a fraction of our power."

“Yet there’s one thing Khamenei’s regime fears more than Israel. You know what it is? It’s you — the people of Iran. That’s why they spend so much time and money trying to crush your hopes and curb your dreams.”

Looking to a future in which there is peace between Israel and Iran, Netanyahu says: “Don’t lose hope. And know that Israel and others in the free world stand with you.”
