Israeli raids on Beirut's southern suburbs resumed after a pause following Saturday's attack on Galerie Semaan.
Warplanes launched four strikes on Wednesday afternoon: two on Haret Hreik, one near Bahman Hospital, and another by al-Raya Stadium.
Additional strikes were reported near the American neighborhood, Burj al-Barajneh and Haret Hreik, following an Israeli evacuation warning for Burj al-Barajneh, Haret Hreik and al-Lailaki.
In the Chouf area, rescue workers continue to search for survivors under the rubble in Barja, where a raid hit a five-story building, leaving 30 dead and 20 wounded. At dawn, they recovered three bodies – a woman, a child and a man – while one child was found alive.
Southern Lebanon
Israeli warplanes struck the Deir Qanun al-Nahr triangle, causing severe property damage. The Israeli Air Force also raided areas south of Mays al-Jabal governmental hospital, Nabatieh, Deir Saryan, Khiam, Yohmor al-Shaqif, Tulin and Mahrouna, where a mosque was targeted.
A missile in Jabshit failed to explode, and Zawtar's eastern town faced airstrikes, with artillery and cluster shells impacting Zawtar’s outskirts and areas between Zawtar and Deir Siryan.
Cluster bombs hit olive groves around Yohmor al-Shaqif and al-Jabaneh.
In the afternoon, an airstrike hit the Bir al-Qandil triangle in Nabatieh, followed by further attacks on the Nuns’ neighborhood. Five bodies were retrieved from rubble in Shehabiye after an earlier airstrike. In Beit al-Sayyad, seven bodies were recovered following a raid.
The Beqaa Region
Fifty-five people were killed in a series of Israeli raids on the Bekaa on Wednesday, while the Ministry of Health announced a total of 3,050 killed and 13,658 wounded in Lebanon as a result of Israeli strikes up to Tuesday. Baalbeck-Hermel Governor Bachir Khodr reported that 20 airstrikes hit the governorate, killing 30 and wounding 35.
According to Khodr, a recent raid on the Temple of Baalbeck resulted in a missile falling in the parking lot, with significant damage to the nearby Manshiya archaeological neighborhood. The temple's interior has yet to be inspected.
An Israeli airstrike struck a house in al-Hara al-Shamaliya in al-Ain, raising the victim count in Tuesday’s raid to eight.
In the al-Shaikan neighborhood, an airstrike destroyed homes belonging to the Abu Esber family, killing five, with ongoing efforts to recover bodies and the wounded. Additionally, the Amshki locality in Baalbeck was bombed.
For the first time, an Israeli balloon, alongside active drone movements, flew over Baalbeck district villages in the eastern Lebanon mountain range.
Hezbollah’s attacks
Hezbollah stated that it targeted the settlements of Goren, Rosh Pina, Bar Yohai, Katzrin, Kfar Szold, and Sassa with rockets. It also struck Kiryat Shmona, the Tzrifin base near Ben Gurion Airport south of Tel Aviv, and the Rawiya base in the occupied Syrian Golan. A Merkava tank in Metula and a house sheltering soldiers were hit with guided missiles. Additionally, Hezbollah targeted the Nahal Geva Shom base with a suicide drone and the Kela military camp in the Golan with a rocket barrage.
Meanwhile, Israel reported dozens of rockets fired from southern Lebanon toward positions in the Galilee, with sirens sounding in Ghajar near the Lebanon border amid concerns of infiltration.
