Israeli airstrikes repeatedly hit the southern suburbs of Beirut Monday afternoon, while raids against South Lebanon continued relentlessly.

Heavy airstrikes targeted Beirut’s southern suburbs, specifically the areas of Ghobeiri, Hadath and Haret Hreik, following evacuation warnings issued by Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee.

Plumes of smoke continue to fill the skies over the southern suburbs due to the intensity of the airstrikes, which caused widespread destruction.

The city of Tyre was the scene of additional strikes that resulted in more casualties and devastation on Monday. The Ministry of Health Emergency Operations Center reported that an Israeli airstrike on al-Bass Road resulted in six fatalities and four injuries. The remains of one victim have yet to be identified through DNA testing.

Another Israeli drone strike targeted a motorcycle in the parking lot opposite the Central Bank of Lebanon in Tyre. Seven people were reportedly injured. Four people were also killed in air attacks on Ghaziyeh, south of Saida.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army continued to carry out demolition and rigging operations in the town of Khiam and demolished several homes in Chamaa.

For its part, Hezbollah announced in a statement that it had targeted "Israeli soldiers in a house on the southern outskirts of the town of al-Bayada inside Lebanese territory, inflicting casualties between dead and wounded.”
