On Tuesday evening, an Israeli raid targeted an apartment in a residential building near Barja High School in the town of Barja in Iqlim el-Kharroub (Shouf), where 600 displaced people from the south are sheltering.
The Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the ministry of Public Health issued a statement announcing that the Israeli raid on Barja resulted in a preliminary death toll of fifteen people. Rescue operations and debris removal are still ongoing.
A residential building in Jiyeh (Chouf caza), a coastal village about 20 kilometers south of Beirut, was the target of two airstrikes by the Israeli air force, on Tuesday afternoon.
The targeted apartment is close to the al-Moustapha complex.

The strike also inflicted material damage to the Saint Charbel school in Jiyeh and injured seven individuals. Students were forced to leave class before the end of this first day of schooling since the beginning of the Israeli military operation.
On Tuesday afternoon, Israeli attacks targeted the Beqaa as well.
A drone attack on a car on the road between Haour Taala and Talia (Baalbeck caza) is said to have killed five people.
Israeli raids targeted the districts between Sohmor and Yohmor, and Yohmor and Zellaya as well as a café on the main Mashghara road.
In southern Lebanon, three people were wounded in Shabriha (Tyre caza). A house in Deir Zahrani (Nabatiyeh caza) was also targeted on Tuesday afternoon.
Israeli strikes hit Bazouriyeh (Tyre), Blat (Marjayoun), Teir Debba, Wadi Jilo, Ainata, Aitit, and Ankoun (Zaharani).
The Israeli Army’s Arabic-speaking spokesman, Avichay Adraee, announced the destruction of an “underground infrastructure some 70 meters long” and the seizure of combat equipment and rocket launchers in rugged, mountainous areas of southern Lebanon, without specifying which areas.
“Troops of the 646th Brigade, under the command of the 146th Division, are engaged in targeted ground operations in southern Lebanon, in the heart of several villages,” he wrote on his X account.
“During the sweeping operations they were conducting, Israeli soldiers discovered a room, long-term housing, and combat equipment,” the statement said.
In another raid, an underground infrastructure with living quarters and a stockpile of weapons was also discovered, according to Adraee.
“These structures were destroyed once the operation was over,” he said.
According to the Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, the Israeli Army has withdrawn some of its brigades from southern Lebanon. But the ground operation there could last “weeks,” according to this Israeli media outlet.
For its part, Hezbollah announced that it had fired missiles at an explosives factory in Hadera, south of Haifa, on Tuesday morning.
It also claimed responsibility for an attack on the Golani barracks and for the deployment of Israeli soldiers in the Ramtha position (Kfarchouba hills).
Israeli raids in Syria
Additionally, the Israeli Army conducted airstrikes near the Lebanese-Syrian border in the vicinity of the Syrian town, Qusayr.
the Israeli military said it "conducted an intelligence-based strike on weapons storage facilities used by Hezbollah's munitions unit in the area of Qusayr" in Syria, near the border with Lebanon.
"Hezbollah's munitions unit is responsible for the storage of weapons in Lebanon and has recently expanded its activities into Syria in the area of Qusayr," it added.
Syria's official SANA news agency said: "An Israeli aggression targeted the industrial zone in Qusayr." "The Israeli aggression also targeted some residential buildings surrounding the industrial zone," it added but did not report any casualties.
