The National News Agency (NNA) reported on Tuesday that Israeli military actions have led to the destruction of 37 towns and over 40,000 housing units in an area extending 3km deep from Naqoura to Khiam.
Bombing intensified on Tuesday morning in several localities in southern Lebanon, as the death toll from Israeli strikes keeps on increasing.
Red Cross teams are working to remove 15 bodies from the rubble in Wata el-Khiam (Marjayoun caza). Four people were killed in an Israeli raid on a house in Bafliyeh (caza of Tyre), while the bodies of two victims were recovered in Maaroub, following an attack on Monday night.
At the same time, Israeli strikes continued in many areas of the South, including Jouaya (caza of Tyre), Toul, Kfour and Kfar Joz (Nabatiyeh), Kharayeb (Zahrani), Kafra, Chehabiye, Arabsalim, Zebqine and Arzoun.
A building was also targeted in Toul, near the Sheikh Ragheb Harb hospital.
An early-morning Israeli raid destroyed a house in Kfar Tibnit (Nabatiyeh caza), while a residential area was completely destroyed in Shehabiyeh. Warplanes also raided the outskirts of the town of Kharayeb and the area between the towns of Al-Qasibah and Sir Al-Gharbiyah, as well as the town of Deyrintar in the Bint Jbeil district.
On the Shebaa farms front and the hills of Kfarchouba, Halta, Kfar Hammam and Habbariyeh, infantry forces and Israeli army vehicles are moving towards the hills of Saddaneh and the Shebaa gate.
Israel
According to Israeli media reports, Hezbollah fired a salvo of rockets and missiles at the coastal towns of Acre and Haifa and their surrounding areas on Tuesday. Hundreds of thousands of Israelis took refuge in shelters in the early hours of the morning.
The Hebrew state media also reported the firing of 10 rockets towards the Upper Galilee. Some were reportedly intercepted, while others fell on settlements such as Saassaa in the western Galilee.
The Israeli army said it had intercepted two missiles from Lebanon, as well as a drone launched from Syria, on Monday night.
The Israeli army also stated having “killed two Hezbollah militants with Asian nationalities who infiltrated into Israel during the war."
North of the Litani
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant has declared that the army is strong enough to ask Hezbollah to withdraw north of the Litani River. In an interview with the Financial Times, he stressed that his country should “put an end to the transfer of arms from Iran to Lebanon via Syria and Iraq”.
“We cannot accept an Iranian military presence in Syria”, he added.
Hezbollah
For its part, Hezbollah announced that it had targeted a deployment of soldiers on the outskirts of Maroun al-Ras on Monday night, as well as the Meron air base in Upper Galilee on Tuesday.
Hezbollah carried out more than fifty offensive and defensive military operations overnight and into the morning, inflicting casualties and losses on the Israeli army.
Violent Night in South Lebanon on Monday
On Monday night, two people were killed and several wounded in an Israeli raid on the town of Deir Kifa, while shelling continued in several other villages, including Kleilé, Abbassiyé, Bazouriyé, Srifa, Barich, Kafra and Yater.
An infiltration attempt by Israeli soldiers was reported on the Rmeish side, according to the National News Agency (ANI). Clashes with Hezbollah fighters continued until dawn, forcing the Israeli army to retreat.
The cazas of Tyre and Bint Jbeil also saw a new wave of violence on Monday night. Israeli raids continued until dawn, targeting a building in the locality of Maaroub.
A drone strike targeting a motorcycle in Hariss killed one person. Subsequently, the village mosque was destroyed in an Israeli attack.
