In southern Lebanon, Israeli air strikes targeted Ghaziyeh, the vicinity of the Tibnin government hospital, and a house in Aarabsalim.
According to preliminary reports, three people were killed and nine injured in the strike on Ghaziyeh. The number of people injured in the Israeli strike on a residential apartment in Haret Saida is still unknown.
In West Bekaa, an area between the towns of Qaraoun and Sohmor, and the Machghara plain were targeted by air strikes.
Two people were killed and several others were injured on Sunday, shortly before 10 AM, in an Israeli raid targeting a house in Jouaya in the Tyre district. The injured were taken to the Tyre hospital.
Israeli raids targeted several localities in the Bint Jbeil and Nabatiyeh regions.
A violent Israeli strike also targeted the town of Machghara in eastern Lebanon in the Bekaa Valley.
Meanwhile, the Red Cross has indicated that the process of evacuating two families from a house in Wata Al-Khiam, which was targeted by an Israeli raid a week ago, has begun.
For its part, Hezbollah claimed to have targeted several gatherings of Israeli soldiers, including in the colony of Zarit, Shomera, Shlomi and Even Menahem.
The Israeli army reported that 10 rockets were fired towards the Western Galilee, some of which were intercepted, while others landed in open areas. It also stated that two missiles were detected from Lebanon towards southern Haifa and that one of the missiles “was intercepted.”
Additionally, Israeli Channel 12 relayed the words of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, according to which the Israeli army “has begun fortification and protection works in several colonies adjacent to Israel's northern border.” It added, “The fortification includes the addition of more than 200 shelters in the colonies of the Golan, Upper Galilee, and Western Galilee.”
Meanwhile, the Israeli army announced on Sunday that it had targeted two Hezbollah commanders in the Khiam region in southern Lebanon.
Forces from the 91st division of the Israeli army are said to have assassinated two Hezbollah commanders in Khiam. According to a statement released by the Israeli army on Sunday morning, the two targets are “Farouk Amin el-Assi, a Hezbollah company commander in Khiam” and “Youssef Ahmad Noun, a platoon commander of the Al Radwan Force.”
According to the Israeli army, “Noun was involved in rocket and anti-tank missile firing towards Israel.”
On Saturday evening, the Israeli army stated that it had “eliminated the commander of Hezbollah's missile and rocket unit, Jaafar Khader Faour, in the Jouaya region,” in the Tyre district in southern Lebanon.
In a post on X, it added that “Faour was responsible for several rocket attacks towards the Golan.” It further stated that he was also responsible for “the attacks launched from eastern Lebanon, where the first rocket fire towards Israeli territory was launched on October 8 under his command.”
Casualties From Saturday Night's Strikes
In Akkar, northern Lebanon, the Israeli strikes on the Jabal Akroum region on Saturday night resulted in two very minor injuries. The Israelis’ targeting of a locality bordering Akkar in northern Lebanon is unprecedented since the beginning of the war.
On Saturday evening, an Israeli strike targeted the main road connecting Akroum in Akkar (North Lebanon) to the town of Kfartoun near a Lebanese Army checkpoint, completely blocking access between the two villages. This road is also used to travel to Syria.
In the Bekaa Valley, a child was reportedly killed in the Israeli strike on the town of Hazerta in the Zahleh district.
